No. But only because I believe gay marriage is sinful. But please here me out before you attack me and I’m 17 years old just so you know :). Gay marriage should not be legalized because marriage is a unique commitment between a man and a woman that — among other things —it sets up society's structure and safety net to care for the children that are conceived in that union. And maybe I'm straying from the point slightly but here me out. The fact that children need dedicated parents — a father AND a mother — is beyond dispute. This is true in both their conception and in their development and training. Don't you think the child will have to endure so much pain and questions when he/she is 13 to 18 at school? Seriously, children are honest and cruel and will ruin the life of the child with two fathers or two mothers. And in that process the child will have to make up lies to cover up about his parents just to protect them. Children shouldn’t have to endure the pain which they have no control over. Also the child may become ashamed/embarrassed of his parents... how would you think the parents would feel as well? Just think of the children.
Any other concept of "marriage" is second rate and a cheap imitation. I’m not against gays having rights its just gays being allowed to marry is morally wrong but we don't live in a theocracy so I really have no say. The world has chosen to accept all manner of things as normal and permissible, but the Bible still describes homosexuality to be sinful. Thanks for hearing me out. Any comments are appreciated. :)I just answered this Featured Question, you can answer it too!
